This is the Jazz festival. That big ball in the sky is a suspended aluminum sculpture of intertwined ferns. It's pretty cool looking especially in this picture because it looks like it's floating in the air.
Here is Chris eating some hangi and listening to music at the Maori hangi lunch. Notice how there aren't a lot of people there and there's a pretty awkward guy doing a one man show on stage.
