Adventures with Chris and Stephen

Yesterday I fixed my schedule finally and got my student ID card. I didn't have classes so after that Stephen and I met up and bought school supplies. Then Chris met up with us a little later and the 3 of us went exploring for a tattoo artist for Stephen (he wants to get some really epic tattoo that I personally don't approve of but he's pretty set on it). We ended up wandering around the city for about 2 hours. We did stop and do things on the way, so in a way it was just a nice exploration of the streets of Wellington. We stopped at a really nice local bookstore and Chris gave me some books to buy because I'm slowly running low on books and I want to have some things to travel with and keep me occupied in transit. I bought "Norwegian Wood" by Haruki Murakami and "The Savage Detectives" by Roberto Bolano. I have a habit of just letting people choose their favorite books for me and I just read them without really knowing much about them. Most of the time it works out that I like the books just as much as the person who recommended them did, so I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy these. I'm pretty easily pleased with books. Also, Chris reminds me of a mixture of a couple of people from home, so I feel like this will work out.
Later we slowly made our way over to Chris's house. He is in university housing except he lives in this really huge old house on the outskirts of the city. It has a trees all around it and nice suburban looking homes surrounding the area. I have no idea how he lucked out with it. He has a wrap around porch on his first floor. And in his room he has a door to the outside with a personal outdoor patio to chill with friends. His room is also really big and he has a nice view of a neighbors garden and a hillside of trees. Stephen and I were both super jealous. We hung out there for a good couple hours, just chilling and talking.
Stephen and I took the bus to our seperate homes and then later me, Stephen and Chris went and saw "The Watchmen" at midnight. Unfortuantely I was SUPER tired throughout the entire movie and can't really say what I thought about it because I don't think my brain fully processed the movie. After the movie the 3 of us got kebabs (the cool thing to do around here for a late night snack) and then Stephen and Chris paid for me to take a taxi home rather than walking alone late at night. What gentlemen.
